SHOPPING

You want to shop, you want to spend money but where? Of course there are malls :

1. Station Mall - Conveniently located downtown, it's the "centre of it all".
2. Cambrian Mall - Located on Great Northern Road for those staying "uptown".
3. Market Mall - Cute and quaint, Market Mall is mostly for local yokels with small shops, a Metro and beer and LCBO.
4. Wellington Square - Boasts quaint Mom N Pop shops and a new restaurant of Portuguese Buffet.
5. Zellers Plaza - Located at Huckson's Corner on Great Northern Road and Northern Avenue. You'll find groceries, Zellers and banking to name a few.
6. Churchill Plaza - Also more for locals, Churchill Plaza is located on Trunk Road, east of the City, and boasts a huge beer store, LCBO and a 24hr Metro for those late night munchies. They also have Churchill Lanes if you're in the mood to bowl.

And then there are Big Box Stores located on Great Northern Road, just past the Husky Restaurant and close to Walmart . The stores are large warehouse types like Payless Shoes and Reitmans sure to please your itching pocket books.

Of course, if you're searching for places to shop because you've forgotten some stuff at home and you're always going to need a bathing suit, allow us to recommend:

1. Ithaka - a women's active clothing store on Queen St. East, heart of downtown.
2. Duke of Windsor - Unisex Sport Clothing, including sporting equipment such as skis, snowboards, bikes, etc. It's located downtown on Queen St.
3. SportChek The largest by far sport clothing and equipment in Sault Ste. Marie. It's conveniently located in the Station Mall downtown.
4. Sears Also located in the Station Mall , you can always family shop for deals there.
5. Walmart Located off of Great Northern Road and across from Algoma's Water Tower Inn, I don't think I need to explain what they have - it's Walmart.
